Sunrise Engagement Session in Philadelphia

First of all, I am a sucker for a sunrise engagement shoot, especially in a city like Philadelphia. It is peaceful and quiet, and there is space to shoot wherever you like. Also the light can be pretty epic. Jess and Kevin had a list of spots they wanted to hit, starting with the Race Street Pier, and ending with the coffee/record shop where they had their first date. So sweet, right?!?

One of the best things about engagement shoots is that you have time, as much as you want, really. Weddings often have rather strict timelines, so you only have a small window to do photos. At an engagement shoot with me, you have as much time as you like. The couple, and I took advantage of that, and spent the whole morning photographing them at spots around the city where they fell in love.

The last location we photographed was Milkcrate Cafe. A coffeeshop/record store where it all started. Kevin is a huge audiophile, so it was fun to incorporate all of the records into the photos.

This shoot was so much. Not every couple is willing to get up before the sun, but I appreciate any that do. It is always worth it.
